This festschrift was designed to collect essays that make the findings of practice-related research in the library sciences relevant to librarians working in the field. The essays address the methods of library and information science, the public library, library management and marketing, research on users and their needs, the library as a place, the library’s role in publishing, as well as issues of ethics and professionalism.
